    You can't beat a 30-06.

Damned accurate. Damned powerful. Damned painful for me to shoot.

I can't shoot a 30-06 comfortably, as I have shattered my shooting shoulder in the past and the force hurts that little bit too much.

I have customized mine a little: added bi pod, adjustable pistal grip stock and have the wonderful American Eagle 10 rnd mags. (if anyone knows of larger mags for the 7400 please tell me) Mine is scoped and I Love it.

I have a mid 80's Wood master in mint condition with the scope and two mags. I had shot it and I love it, but I haven't been hunting with it yet. I can't wait.

I wish that would of been the price and I would of own hundreds of them

Born and raised in Texas this is one of the rifles my Dad taught me to shoot. Had a hell of a kick (age 8) but was a great gun for hunting. Always will have one.

This is definitely one of the best kept secrets in the LEO community. ENDLESS possibilities. Have the semi-auto version. As for recoil...just put on your thinking caps? A mind is a terrible thing to waste..About the same as a 5.56mm.

Great rifle for hog hunting , keep it clean always and you'll have no problems. I use federal 150gr ammo , never jams. Good out to 150 yrds.
