Bump Lana and Dave!
Executive Order #183 should be: If Congress fails to pass the necessary Bills to aid the men and woman we sent into War, then all members of Congress, House and Senate will be subject to the $7.15 & $2.15 (Servers) minimum wage they deem to be sufficient.
They'll move their @ss so fast they'll be lounder then a thundercloud of 1 ton Buffallo's running from a 100 cheetahs!
Once spent the entire night in a Veterans Hospital that looked like one upgrade from an outdoor triage unit. Swiveled through a conjested hallway with amputees (Prior to 2001) to find a nurse, and no Medical Staff knew I was even there.
Listening to my grandfather moaning in pain all night without his scheduled dose the first shift told me they were bringing him and overhearing the amputees was when I realize....eh, we kinda DID forget, didn't we??
Time to expediate this, and if Congress fails to act and another VET suffers, start signing-The Administration is at the point of Micro-Managing anyway, eff it.
I would like to thank both my fellow vets,Steve and Chris for their service. My apologies to whoever I missed....Dave

Bump Shadow, parents know best. Now will the country figure out how to repair those who have given so much for so little. BROTHER thank YOU for your service and sacrifices.
BUMP hadley. My mother says the same thing. I was fine before deploying, now Im broken.
I gave the military two healthy sons and they gave me back two broken sons. Both are now medically retired from the Air-force and the Army.I thank God that I have health care through my employer and Tricare otherwise I would be in big trouble. Whenever, I needed to go to the VA my appointments were at least three months to see a doctor. I just gave up and saw my regular doctor for things I needed documented by the VA. I wonder how many others are in the same situation.
Bump Dave, and a ton of respect for that comment.
Our Vets deserve better then this!
CONgress, allow us to remind you, your function is to pass bills, not blow smoke.
CONgress, YOUR job: PASS AN FN BILL & HELP OUT OUR VETS and fellow Americans !!
CONgress, this is NOT your job: "I'm a male and had to pay an extra .30 cents a year to cover maternity cost, now I shall screech the words tyranny throughout the echo chambers for my funding fathers, and enact another frivolous multi-million dollar congressional hearing at the voters expense so I can appear on TV reading green eggs and ham. FAIL
And if congress doesn't act, on measures to help the Men and Women we sent into a 13 year quagmire and some even homeless from DS, KW & WWll, then by all mean use the Executive Privilege.
Even Bo Knows (the dog) when Politicians get caught screeching about Wars in one breathe, but start barking about signing EO's to help our VETS in another breathe, then social media will provide the platform where they can hang their political careers no madda how many strategically placed Veterans they have behind their photo ops.
I say we formulate a group and March down to that VA HQ and do the whole overhaul ourselves. I wouldn't mind throwing out a bunch of dot matrix printers, 70lb Macintosh Computers and rubberband balls out of the windows.
Who's with me??
Maybe they (the VA) found a fix for his (deceased) condition?....... Likely not as only God can do that now. This is tragic and completely unacceptable on several levels. "We are committed to providing primary care in a timely manner." What a farce. And then to deny her the death benefits that he earned can only be described as the ultimate slap in the face. A letter of apology is a start..... barely. Obviously they can't bring him back but if they are truly sorry, they can and should provide her with the financial compensation in spades.
Approx. two weeks ago there was another article about vets hospitals.Indeed this is way beyond tragic and not,by a long shot the only horror story coming out of the Veterans Administration en re to vets care.Unfortunately many comments exclusively blamed the Obama administration for this.I was in the service (U.S.Army),in the late 50"s and this was rampant way back then and has gone on since the beginning of when vets hospitals were first constructed.I was at Walter Reed and it was a joke back then and has not improved at veterans facilities since. This same subject hit the news and was a well known problem during the Viet Nam War.It was further a shame to our nation as far back as W.W. 2,this was well prior to the birth of Obama.I wpoiuld love to blame Obama for everything, foot fungus, ingrown hairs, etc. but let's get our facts straight.
Veterans need better health care coverage.....I can only image how that lady felt receiving a letter like that...If they need more or larger hospitals build them... If they need more doctors hire them....Veterans need to be treat a lot better than this....
Sad, very sad.
