A huge bump to all. This Officer needs to file suit on each member of the city council, the city itself, the Chief, the Department and all news media who most always jumps at any opportunity to "Bad Mouth" Officers.Be a mighty fine idea to demand a meaningful apology from all freaks involved,as well.

This Officer was fired. What should happen is the Officer be immediately re-hired and of course collect any and all back-pay. He will then be on PAID administrative leave until the investigation by the Texas Rangers is over with and he is reinstated to full-duty. At that point he should resign and have his attorney serve the City with a lawsuit for how they treated him. He should also by that time have a new position lined up in a better location in Texas. He already hold his LEO Certification in Texas and has proven himself not to be a coward in not just one, but two deadly shootouts.

The officer needs to sue the town for his job back, if only to get the firing off his record. Once that happens, he needs to resign and find a better position elsewhere. The H.P.D. chief has no back bone; wonder how his subordinates feel about his caving in to the city council's knee-jerk reaction ( well, I can guess how they feel ; it was a rhetorical observation ! ).

What's worse is Houston media reports the City council called a special meeting today and voted to require the Chief to terminate the officer. The chief did.

If this is true, it just goes to show that politicians know squat about police work. Instead of waiting for the investigation to be completed they just fire the officer, because they think that's what voters want to hear. Well probably because of this knee jerk reaction, the taxpayers will pay when the officer files his lawsuit. There was no reason not to just suspend the officer until the Texas Rangers submit the final report.

After several days of the media crucifying the officer involved only broadcasting her age, finally a very important "detail" has finally made the light of day.
