Parents natural reaction is to protect their children and comfort them. I wouldn't have signed in either. Then to make matters worse by causing this child more stress! Can't fix stupid but stupid can be fired! Hope it works out for them.
And we wonder what the problem is in this country - Education doesn't fix STUPID!
Colossally stupid. What a ridiculous over reaction by the principal. Having a son with Asperger's and had to report to school a few times for similar reasons, I can certainly place myself in the mother's place and have done the same thing. There were even occasions where I was in uniform. Imagine how that would've gone down if they called the police on me? Thankfully, the administrators at my son's schools were not as stupid as this one.
hope judge charges pricipal
Oh forgot to ask if the officers signed in or were they "known"?
Another example of we have to follow the "book" to the letter, no common sense no exercise of good judgement. If it ain't in the book it is wrong and we can't have any of that.
A huge bump to DL.
I have of late had the same thought
Common sense is truly a lost art.
I pray these charges will be dropped, prior to court appearance. This is ludicrous. The principal needs to be reprimanded..Bless the Mother for doing the proper thing .She displayed much more concern for the child than did the official.
Sounds like the school official has some issues...
