I think both sides are stretching their "rights" a bit. The church is selling a piece of property, does it really matter to the church after the title changes hands as to what happens on the property? The state is trying to say that the couple that is trying to purchase the property is being discriminated against. If the church pulled out because of the "potential" of gay weddings. . . . how is that discriminating against the couple? Says nothing about the couple's sexuality and according to the story, neither did the church.

Nope both sides are trying to make a statement here and neither really has a standing to make it. However, if the church just pulled out of the negotiations. . . . .just because, then the story would never had come about.

I posted this because I firmly believe the "Separation of Church and State" was to protect the Church from the government. This "government" is scary. Very scary!!
