RIP Chihuahua-Jack Russell mix. You didn't deserve what happened to you.

@ChiefDC501: In your previous statement, I respectfully disagree. As far as treating animals kindly does not "cheapen" life, but enhances it. To treat a dog as if it were an, e.g.,a bookcase (both being property) is, IMHO an oversimplification of the facts. If it lives and breathes, it IS different, being property or not. -- Doc

Well the good Lord allegedly gives mankind a tad more brain power than he renders other animals. Some people simply refuse to use it.It is quite simple, with a bit of effort,to train an animal to NOT do this in your residence.Ergo, tis easy to see that this nimrod is either too lazy to do so or indeed the good Lord neglected to offer him any gray matter.

The dog wasn't vicious if you don't want an ANIMAL then don't have one. You can ALWAYS give it away instead of killing it.

Sorry folks I know dogs are living things, owned dogs have dogs now, but as much as I enjoy them they are no more human than the cow that provided for my lunch. Maybe I see it from a more rural point of view. The tree that was in front of my house was living before it got cut down, comparing every "living" thing to humans cheapens the value of human life. But it does make interesting discussion.

Bump Doc, Magee and bill. I had to put my dog down last year because of old age. No guns were involved...... I took it to my vet!

would you shoot a child for doing that? Mistakes happen. Don't want the dog give it away. ChiefDC501 sounds as if you agree with the guy.

His dog therefore his property. What if he said it was old diseased didn't get around well anymore? He didn't torture it he just put it down. What a LE waste of resources.
