Not only is this an ignorant concept for numerous reasons,it will also cause more property damage collisions, personal injury collisions and fatalities.Big bump to all previous posts. In my city we were constantly at odds with the Traffic Engineers Office due to similar ridiculous acts. They fail, every time, to add in the Human Factor.

And people wonder why I am trying so hard to get out of Florida. This and other things make me think the state is as corrupt, if not more, than our federal government has become. I do like the fact they say the light should be extended during times the elderly is out (which is like 24/7 because the other state nickname is "The Retirement State").

This is a money grab. Studies show that ADDING time to the yellow light reduces collisions at intersections by the car trying to beat the red light. Adding time increases safety. BUT, decreasing time generates revenue at risk of public safety.
