This is a public swimming pool in a free society! Visitors and newcomers can expect to follow commonly accepted social morays, not arbitrarily demand changes to suit themselves. Otherwise, Muslim women should expect a gaggle of nudists to tip the ratio in favor of topless swimming.

The Muslim objectors can take their children to a Muslim-operated swimming pool. Or, they can simply cover their children. That way, nobody is offended. Least of all those who suspect Muslims of using their religious practices to bully their host country into cultural submission.

A parent, regardless of gender, should have a right to supervise their children and it should override any concern that religious modesty observances are violated. Religious freedom is a fine thing, but so is integrating into your adopted society.

I must say I do not agree with imposing a religious restriction in a public venue regardless of what religion it is. Hopefully common sense will prevail.
