Welcome to NY State. It was just a few years ago it became a misdemeanor if you fled from the Police. Before that it wasn't a crime. I'm hoping this will stop the people complainingf that they sent in a dog unprotected. Probably not but hopefully. People weren't and aren't getting it that it could have been a human LEO. He had already killed 4 people, one was a retired corrections officer and another was still on the job as a corrections officer. Ape died saving lives of the LEOs behind him. I have spoke with the FBI and they are grieving the loss of their coworker, for that was what Ape was, a coworker. If anything good came out of this event is that there are many fundraisers to provide vests for other local Police K9s. RIP Ape, you will be missed.
Bump GS76. Rest in peace, Ape.
A misdemeanor for killing a K-9, wow...if it was not for Ape the officers could have been shot.
