401, they had tried numerous things with no luck, They lobbed tear gas in and no response they sent in a robot but because there was so much rubble in the building that didn't work. They even tried extremely loud music but that didn't work. They had absolutely no contact with the shooter so they didn't even know if he was still alive. The dog had his vest on. If he hadn't killed Ape, there is no doubt in my mind that he would have shot a human LEO instead. Ape saved their lives. Fortunately they were able to end this from any further tragedy and loss of any other innocent life.

Glad no Officers ended up getting injured.
Sorry they felt the need to sacrifice their K-9 on a suicide mission.
But of course I was not there and do not have the facts of the situation.
Prayers for the dog and the handler, and for the officers forced to use deadly force on the bad guy.

A retired Corrections Officer, as well as a current Corrections Officer were one of the Four killed yesterday. He also killed an FBI K(...RIP to all who were killed by this individual. To the furry four legged LEO who gave his life to save his partner, Thank You, we will never forget your heroism.
