"Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs’ Association president Roy Felber told the Associated Press it sounds like a call to vigilantism." I am confused by Roy Felber's comment that this supposedly is a call for vigilantism, in what way? Since when was self defense vigilantism. Peace Officers are not bodyguards and cannot stand guard at a private citizen's house. Every American is responsible for his or her own safety by every legal means available, not police.
I agree completely!
With tax revenue decreasing due to the reduction of home values combined with all the other economic factors that are draining law enforcement budgets, combined with the increase of violent crime also influenced by the current economic onditions, citizens need to be better prepared to take immediate action to defend themselves as calling 911 will not provide the immediate response it once did...
