Ok so as I read this, they had deputies and pulled them out in 2005 due to budget restraints. Now the parents want them back so they paid out of their own pockets for them. Sounds like this Sheriff has some explaining to do before the next election!

I personally think it is jacked up, that a parent has to pay with there own money even though it's on her own free will to do so, to provide security for her child. So i wonder if the deputy will provide a "little extra" security for her child, after all the mother is footing the bill. probably would have been alot cheaper to just remove the kid from that school and send her to a school where SRO's are already provided.
