I agree SkoolCop slap them upside their checkbook and maybe next time the editors will think twice before publishing something that should be kept private.
This was reckless disregard for the privacy and safety of law abiding gun owners!
YES...... IT"S ABOUT TIME ALBEIT A BIT LATE. The fact that the information was published in the first place under the guise of the N.Y. State Freedom of Information Law, put thousands of people unnecessarily at risk. To say that the Journal News Media Group was irresponsible would be a gross understatement. As a citizen, my expectations of the news media, be it paper, inter-net or TV, is to report the news...... not create it, especially at the risk of public safety. I still say that a class action law suit should be considered to prevent this from ever happening again and to compensate those people, who through no fault of their own, legally obtained gun permits and who remain at risk despite the removal of the personal information from the news group web site.
Damage has already been done.
