Numerous methods to counteract this.Boycott the paper--Advise customers to cancel their subscriptions--Contact the owner of the parent company...Start hurting these morons in the pocket book and they will come around....Demand the dismissal of the editor and a written apology would be a beginning.

I would sue this newspaper for endangering my home and myself. As these people have not committed or been accused of a crime it doesn't seem like they should be allowed to do this. It is definately an invasion of privacy.

If NY state law allows this as stated, it is time to amend the law to protect the rights of the law abiding gun permit citizens.

As far as the news paper goes, this is a low form of political journalism as well as abuse of the Freedom of Information Act and I hope the readership responds accordingly and the NRA and even the ACLU step in and provide legal support for the rights of all those permit holders who had their names and addresses published...

Not the first time and won't be the last. This is why registration and licensing to own is probably not the best thing. Or at the very least should not be a matter of public record. Thank goodness in TX it's a safe bet to assume everyone is armed 24/7 in this regard.
