Security guard shot man who was firing handgun

The guard sounds justified to me. Man turns around, gun in hand. Guard doesn't know if the guy is gonna start shooting at him or everyone else. And darsavmo said it "Licensed" guard. He did what he had to do to save lives. Including his own.

I don't understand why the story and/or the police or district attorney are making such a big deal over the actions of the security guard. The "licensed" guard done what any police officer would have done, and of course the shooting will need to be investigated. If the story is true as written, kudos to the guard and everyone should be offering their kudo as well...
