Unfortunately I was aware of Chip's death when I posted this but it had not been released to the media. Shortly after posting this story I was contacted and asked to respond to give support. Please continue to keep the two who were killed, their families, and other two firefighters, their families, and all their coworkers. Please also keep the injured Greece Police Officer who suffered minor injuries in your thoughts and prayers. The whole area is reeling from this horrific event.

Rest In Peace to the two brave firefighters. Prayers to their families.
Just read the murdering POS also killed his grandmother and only served 17 years in prison.

Bump ALL, Prayers to the families of these men. So sad.
[One of the firefighters that was killed was Lt. Mike Chiapperini, a Webster Police Department lieutenant, who was off-duty and was responding as a volunteer firefighter. Chiapperini was named "Firefighter of the Year"]

The other firefighter was Tomasz Kaczowka, who was also a 911 dispatcher. He came up through the Explorer program and has been a firefighter for a little more than a year ago.]

Sounds quite familiar to me .This occured in my home town while I was an officer during the riots from mid 60's to early 70's.We used to take turns riding on the rigs, with iour 870 Remmingtons.Either that or in six man cars to EVERY call.
