The P.D. could not have foreseen any problems that even the company itself didn't even know may exist at that point in time. IMO, the department should not have settled their case; it sets them up for future cases by suspects. There are times when you have to stand and fight, and it seems to me this was one of those times.
"He lunged at her and another officer" sounds like force can be used to me, if they didn't have the taser it would have probably been a little more bloody.
Could this case raise the argument that if they did not have the taser, they could have used deadly force instead of less than lethal?
Lawyer/client money hunt> hope evidence clearly presented points back to him instead of playing blame game against police and taser.
Stupid incompetent bungling greedy trashy lawyers. Taser caused your client's brain damage??? My rear end. Perhaps it is all the booze and narcotics your client consumes which creates his condition. Would you rather your client suffer through multiple contusions and severe bleeding from his resistance to his arrest? Garbage, pure garbage.
