I DO KNOW ONE THING, I WOULD NOT WANT A PERSON LIKE THIS AS A PARTNER IN MY RADIO CAR. in the academy, as a recruit, you keep your eyes open and your mouth shut unless asked. This learning institution has been going on alot longer than this kid has been alive. And this guy was a decorated Marine?

Bump ssu459! Everyone knows a THICK skin is an important part of the LEOs arsenal!
So WHY does Boston have its collective bloomers in a bunch? The Ring Ding Dirty Water Course has a practical basis. 10 Ring Dings provide needed carbs for 1 lonnnng foot chase through 15 muddy slum yards while folks hurl invectives and throw garbage from their windows. How sad all the Academy had to resort to mere spray bottles of dirty water.
The RDDW course should have been supplied with Boston cream pies and PROPER mud pits!

What do think will happen when they graduate and hit the streets? If they can't take a little ribbing now, they certainly will not survive the streets...

Teasing, harassment etc. has been going on in many occupations since the beginning of time. There is a difference,at times between hazing, teasing and harassment.ALL the branches of the armed forces do it,all law enforcement agencies, fire depts. and yes even the construction trades do it.It is done specifically in the Armed forces and law enforcement agencies to test the males to see, quite frankly if they "have a pair" and to the women recruits to see if they will stick it out and endure.99% of us stick it out, live through it and later laugh about it later.I would much rather see a recruit being given the treatment rather than seeing him laying on the ground crying or running when some Jack a$$ is getting the best of him.I am aware that some hazing may be beyond the threshold.but this is extremely rare.
