Thank you for your comments. It's nice to hear the memories of the respect these officers were shown after their deaths.

My ex-husband was best friends with Tony. It was a devasting day for him. He still can't look at the pictures on his fb wall of he and Tony without crying. They were good fishing buddies, and Tony called my ex, "Dad." Tony was good friends with my daughters, as well. All both of these officers wanted was a quiet place to be LEO's where they could hunt and fish, too. Matt wanted a nice place to raise his family. Each of the last 2 anniversaries of their murders my youngest daughter here in Michigan sent off 2 blue balloons to remember both officers. Such good, young men, murdered in front of their families, in the prime of their lives. RIP Tony and Matt

Tony Wallace went to college here in Rochester at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. After he graduated he went to work for the Rochester Institute of Technology as a Security Officer. When he moved to Hoonah, Alaska he became one of the only Deaf Police Officers in the Country. He was good friends with many LEOs as well as their families including the family of a NY State Trooper who he was friends with until the trooper was killed in the Line of Duty. RIT held a Memorial Service for Tony that his family attended as did our C.IO.P.S. Chapter and over 100 LEOs. Tony would have been proud of the turn out the LEOs gave him. I hope and pray for justice for these two fallen heroes. Rest in Peace Tony and Matt, we will never forget you.
