    it is sad to see that money comes first before public safety...instead of it being " officers what do you guys need to do your job ".....it's we don't need officers...but we still want crime to go down....just remember...you get what you pay for.....

    This is a blatant attempt on the part of the City and County to void the current contract with the city cops. They are doing an end-around to totally replace the current police department. Word is the new PD won't be allowed to unionize. The City PD Chief has been tapped to be the new "County" PD Chief. The other "funny" thing about this is that the "County" PD will only be patrolling the CIty of Camden. The other towns in the county decided against agreeing to this deal.
