While I feel bad for this man and the others that were shot by Holmes, what he and others who are calling for stricter gun control laws don't realize are 1) Gun laws only stop those who follow the law. Holmes was planning on killing people so no law no matter how strict would have stopped him from doing his deed.2) Holmes had his apartment booby trapped with bombs to kill Law Enforcement, if he had not been able to get a gun he could have still killed by strapping on a bomb. 3) It won't do any good to have stricter gun control laws when the courts don't enforce the laws that are already in place and the LEOs are already arresting criminals for..

I love his reference to "CHICAGO" . One of the top two States with multiple cross restrictions on LEGAL GUN OWNERSHIP. "IF SOMEONE COULD GIVE ME ANY DECENT ARGUMENT ABOUT GUN CONTROL TO INCLUDE THE OUT RIGHT BANNING OF GUNS , I WOULD BE MORE THEN WILLING TO DEBATE WITH THEM". No matter how many laws are in place, there is nothing to stop a active shooter unless he's met with armed resistance. Furthermore, any business that has a sign with the message This is a Gun Free Zone only tells criminals they will meet little or no resiststance.
