Thank God for private schools! That being said this young lady absolutely did the right thing. But, what else do you expect from the public school system? Those people are more worried about hurting the perps feelings then doing what is right.

This girl is very brave and I commend her for taking the stand she did, instead of the school punshing her they need to honor her for her actions.

Coming from the area where a bullied school monitor went viral and hit National News and someone raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the bus monitor I have to ask why is this story several months old and it did not hit National news no one raising any money for this story?

Stormy Rich, you absolutely did the right thing !!! Good for you, young lady !!!! To the school system that condones this kind of bad behavior: you have jello where your backbone should be !!! Shame on you for not responding to the original complaint and protecting the child in the first place !!!! A student had to do your job for you !!!

I lost failth in the public school system a long time ago! My daughter and two friends wore the same football jersey to school and they were accused of "gang related" activities. These girls had no prior problems. Really???
And I wish the best to this girl, may she use the strength she had on that bus to deal with the school administrators.

Where's the common sense? Students are being brainwashed into believing they have no rights and that school administrators can violate their right to defend themselves or another person.

Now see, this is why I stopped coming by and reading garbage like this. It is just depressing. What is wrong with this nation and it's people? We are so touchy feely about PC and then we suspend a student who stands up and does the right thing! The inmates are running the asylum!

So we now are officially training our children not to help or get involved when others (especially handicapped or special needs) are being abused or in need. And we wonder why people look the other way when they see abuse or crime...
