So it is OK for Afgan prisoners to deface the Koran to pass messages, but it is wrong for these Korans to be burned to prevent them being used to pass messages??? Somehow this part of the story seems to get ommitted.
So, let me get this straight. It is now Illegal to disrespect a book in the US Military? This is a book. Nothing more, nothing less. We are now punishing Soldiers for breaking Islamic law? Come on..... What is next? Read the writing folks, that's all I have to say. We simply cannot stand for this......
I do not understand the punishment for those involved in the burning as there was no malicious intent or actions.
The urination is another story as 2 wrongs do not make a right and we are and should act better than our enemies...
These military members showed poor judgement. They deserved to be punished for their actions. In the future they will think twice before dishonoring the U.S. as well as their respective branches. Their actions were an embarassment to those of us who served for many years and toed the line as expected and required. Thank goodness for level headed commanders in the field.
As an American citizen I am totally offended by the article I just read. Let's highlight the article with a pic of good little Afghans showing what the mean US Military did to their precious book. How many American lives have been senselessly lost because of Afghanistan and their precious little book. Allah is their God not mine. The US Military is here to protect and defend the United States and its Constitution. How dare KPPC News do this to our Military. In war stuff happens. But Afghans would never do anything like this to our brave men and women, would they? Makes me sick.
