This certainly sounds irresponsible, but unless he's selling to known criminals or drug cartels, I'm not seeing this rise to the level of felonies nor prison time. The image that comes to mind is a guy hanging out with friends showing off weapons and then giving/selling them. There must be more details here that I'm missing.

A SEAL no less. I believe the sentence to be the minimum that has been imposed. Not only disrepect to the SEALs, but also to the country as well.
