Yeah, the arm was still in the gator and of course had denigrated too much to be able to re-attach. Feel very badly for the young man. It IS alligator mating season and this time of the year you do not go anywhere near a gator as they are very aggressive. Gators don't much worry me but then again, I am not going swimming in an alligator infested canal or lake either! Now I HAVE water-skied in some lakes and rivers here that have gators but not during mating season and not anywhere near the shore and in very deep water! You just do not go looking for trouble as they are very powerful animals and very fast as well both in the water AND on the land!

Good Lord, our biggest fear in NJ is Jelly Fish and I think most of them are extinct now thanks Governor Chris Christie yelling at them. o_0
