I'm glad the father got there in time to defend his child.
Is Texas law so rare? I would think lots of other states would also not prosecute under circumstances like these.

Never a doubt in my mind. Still, I think the Dad is taking it too hard that he killed this worthless POS. I hope and pray the little girl forgets all about this incident.
