Open and shut. Maybe the youth was blind drunk. Maybe he was just drunk enough to get close and fire. Maybe he decided on 'death by cop'. We'll never know. And we sure don't want to find out the hard way.
One thing is certain. Life isn't Video Game Real. Life is Real Real.
Deepest condolences to the family of the youth and to the officer who was forced to use deadly force to protect others.
Justified...no question about that. Lots of time to comply and the scum refused. Unfortunate things happen when an individual does not comply with direct orders. Drunk or not, the man had many chances and forced the officer to do what was done. God be with the officer....
This video reminded me of a similar one in which the officer warned the suspect 8 or more times and was gunned down along with his partner for the lack of lethal force
That is one shooting that is justifiable. Officer gave more than on order to put the weapon down. Think I heard suspect fire a shot and the officer returned fire. The officer did a good job..
Looks like a justifiable shooting in all respects. Armed suspect refusing to lower his weapon and advancing on Officers. They gave him every chance in the world. They even were so disciplined that only one shot was fired. Unfortunately the suspect expired from his wound. Hope the Officer that was forced to kill him is going to be okay. No matter what the circumstances, no Officer wants to take a life. Good shooting.

Guess he won't be doing that again.......... Looks like he should have put the weapon down as clearly instructed.
