It would be "humane" to charge Graham Spanier ( and any other Penn State officials involved in this decision ) with any and all possibles crimes related to their course of inaction. Let these so-called educated people spend time behind bars, and make damn sure they are cellmates with other child molesters, so they really can see the kind of individual they were being "humane" to !!!!!!

What a sad state of affairs. Too many well-educated, "intelligent" people who had the power to do something looked the other way rather than doing the right thing. Yes, there would have been consequences in turning him in but look at the situation as it stands. The news reports from the trial are sickening to read. When will people who should know better learn that it is better to act with integrity even at personal expense than to become a party to immoral and unethical behavior?

Well I was pleased to reside in the state of Pennsylvania for many years.Even did my high school football there and admired Joe just as much as anybody. His hands were tied by the same administration that makes this ignorant, assinine statement. How could anybody with an ounce of moral turpitude think this way? This type of ignorance is why our country is circling around the toilet bowl especially coming from a prestigious institute such as this.

Totally dispicable on the part of the school's management. The civil suits are going to take a big bite out of the school.
