people should also not refuse to sign speeding tickets as they are required to do in some states... kinda funny to think being difficult about a speeding ticket could end your life!! the public should just obey and they wont have any problems.

Tasers are "less lethal" not "non lethal" But the last time I checked, service pistols and most firearms used by police are considered lethal.

If the taser induces 'sudden cardiac arrest' them the person tased should hit the ground dead, not die 10 or 15 minutes later in a route to a hospital.

Just to put this into perspective, in the article it mentions that 500 people have died after being tased. Of those 500 only 12 of those deaths were listed as having the taser being contributed to their death. That is 2.4%. This does not counting everyone who has been tased. i would say that if a person doesn't want to be tased just don't fight with the cop. Than again I am preaching to the choir on this issue i guess

I've found in my own studies that people are seriously injured at a higher rate by gunshot wounds than they are by the taser. Criminals should be glad that we have a less lethal alternative......much less chance of long term injuries.....

People dont understand the ecalation of foce and that if Officers do not carry tasers, a lot more people will end up being shot...
