What's the point 42 years ago I wouldn't reopen the case either, that would be a waste of tax payers money. Like our tax dollars haven't been wasted enough on bogus court cases in this country.
Unfortunately some that were killed and injuried had nothing whatsoever to do with the protesters. They were just walking to classes when the Nat. Guardsmen fired their weapons in response to a 'charge' leveled at the Guardsmen, most of whom were not trained and scared as heck.
Wellsince i was a pup at the time best i can figure out is that if the students would have been in class and not rioting and buring Kent then the guard would not have to have been called and my unckle that was a guards men would not have had to live with what happened
Agreed, Robocop33, very politically motivated. I loved gun_slinger's comment on the news article - (snipped a section)
...For the life of me I can never understand the reasoning of a protester who stands there screaming and yelling "Give Peace a Chance, Give Peace a Chance, Give Peace a Chance" all the while they are chucking rocks and bottles at whomever they can while chanting "Give Peace a Chance".
Wait! In today’s new world of political correctness a protestor is now referred to as a “Community Organizer” and is therefore suitable and justified and someone to be desired. My bad! ...
And I'm lovin' the Justice Department's reply that they will not reopen the investivation.
Don't people understand that this is a politically motivated inquiry? Obama is trying to use anything and everything he can including bringing out the big guns, his close friends Ayers and Dorn to dig up the Kent State incident to show how mean and nasty the Conservatives are. This incident happened 42 yrs ago and was thoroughly investigated back then. It was bad behaviour on both sides that led 'some' innocents to be killed. Remember if these students were not committing crimes and threatening the Nat. Guard there would have been no firing and nobody would have gotten hurt.
