Normally I'll stand with the Soldiers, but this time it looks like somebody broke OPSEC and COMSEC in a major way!! Widows, and for that matter, ANY military dependent deserves the respect of being notified by a Chaplain in person! I hope somebody gets read their Article 31's and is court-martialed over this. Big bump to my friend Robocop - this is a terrible way of informing a new widow that the love of her life has just made the ultimate sacrifice on the field of battle.

This is a horrible way for this to happen! Does this fool not understand the damage she has done and the possible damage she could have done? Yes there needs to be an investigation and the soldier responsible should be court-marshaled. I wish there was something they could do to his wife for her actions.As for actual orders about not telling people about the death of a soldier until the next of kin has been notified, that is just common sense and actual orders should not have to be given about that. What a horrible thing to happen to this young Army wife.
