Putting this type of person in a public k-12 school setting is not only dangerous but just plain irresponsible. He is not only an adult, he is an adult given the status of a sex offender. Placing him in this environment is like placing my 3 year old in a candy and ice cream shop. If I were the parents of said child, no matter the law, I would file a law suit against the school district and the state in order to get the law changed with regards to sex offenders and their supposed right to an education allowing them into a public school setting. This guy needs to be locked up for a long time. He can get his education in prison.......... Everyone else does.

If I were the parent of this little girl I would be suing the State and the School Board that allowed this perverted waste of DNA to be around her and other children. Children should feel safe at school at all times. If this pervert needs to go to school, then he should go to school, reform school!

The District should have had available options to prevent its own liability arising from limitations in its ability to monitor this young offender's activities that led up to this latest crime. That would have meant educating him in a setting other than a public school so as to prohibit free access to underage victims as part of the school day.
Had the District this option? Be interested to know.

"We have to let them back into school," said Herrington. "That's part of the law too."
This needs to be changed.

State Law is so wrong and I will gty that this law was passed by a very liberal State Legislature. What a crock exposing all these kids to a dangerous pervert because they don't want the pervert to be made fun of or be picked on? This kid should never have been allowed out in public. He is sick and needs some serious meds as well as surgical castration so there is no chance of him ever reproducing! A lobotomy for individuals this sick is not all that bad of an idea, otherwise he will need to be incarcerated for the rest of his life and still need to be watched closely!

Agreed rhood. The boy has a serious deficiency somewhere in his noggin. When you attempt to rape your own mother it is past time for a full frontal lobotomy.
