Misleading headline. This isn't his neighborhood; he was visiting his father at the home of his father's fiancee, because he was on school suspension for drug possesion. Trayvon's home was in Dade County, some 220 odd miles away. Nice research, MSN !!

Hmmm...I will say this.......whoever the heck it was who decided it was a good day to shoot into this vehicle should be arrested at the very least for damage to property, regardless of who he was or was not trying to support. This sends a very bad message to LE and I see very dark clouds on the horizon for all of us.

I hope they investigate this to the fullest, b/c somethings very strange about this incident. I think SPD needs to backlog anyone whom would take the opportunity to do this in retaliation for being locked up or arrested. Possibly look into these Militant groups who offered armed assistance in that area wether they be pro/con the issues sparking outrage there. They could easily win their argument that LE needs their assistance in Sanford by doing this, and they seem a bit unstable too, imho. It's also a good possibility that it's someone angered b/c it happened the day after Corey said it wasn't going to the GJ, but should we assume off the bat that this was supporters of Justice for TM, or wait for the evidence as suggested in the TM case? If it is supporters, then LE needs to do a very good investigation and have them locked up for a lengthy time to send the message this will not be tolerated and officer safety is paramount. I think instead of Zimmerman setting up a Facebook account to solicit money for his defense to save his arse, he might want to consider owning up to a lesser charge of manslaughter to put a damper on violent acts both Supporters and non supporters are threatening to do to each other every minute of the day. A little sympathy on his part for the deceased would help too, instead of labling himself as a complete victim here. He has priors that included physical violence against an LEO and a Woman, he's no Saint. This whole incident was allegedly over him "protecting" his neighborhood, well he has the ability to protect the people and LE Now by finally having to take real responsibility for mistakes he's been making since 2005.

Glad it was unmaned and no police officers were harmed or killed.

Having been an officer in Houston, Texas during the late 60’s & early 70”s racial tension era, I can tell you the tactics have not really changed. Crimes against property, police officers, and innocent citizens were all acts based on “opportunity”. The Radical , yes I said Radical, leaders of the day were quick to judge and would lead the marches but when the dust began to fly they melted into the crowd. The only thing we had on our side was the local business owners. The “OLD ‘ Black Panther Party as well as the Local S.D.S. “ Students for a Democratic Society”, better known as Communist. These groups joined together and went to the local Black Business owners and revealed their plan to use pipe bombs and do minimal damage to their Family Business and place blame on the K.K.K.. The local business owners balked at the idea of having their livelihood interrupted for any reason. The groups did however place a few bombs and did cause some damage to property with no injury to persons. The business people came to the Criminal Intelligence Division with all kinds of information. Most of the problems were from out of town groups who had no ties to the community but for race, and the desire to spread hate between the factions within the entire community. Tensions were very high and trust had to be gained on all sides. The department and the community leaders came together and it was a win – win, for everyone involved. And as a note the National leaders of the K.K.K., did not want the pending scrutiny either so they cautioned their factions to stand down also. The other advantage we had was Snail News, those days are over, the corner call box is gone, we would have killed for a handi-talke, no computers, no cell phones it was another time, Caveman P.D. by today’s standards. To those of you in the fray, keep a sharp eye and watch your “6”. This could get very interesting, the timing, the economy and the lack of self respect and true leaders makes for a bad stew.

Does this really surprise anyone? Thankfully there was not a LEO inside this vehicle or we might be talking about a murder of one of our own. The person that fired at this vehicle did not know it was unoccupied as he only hit it with 2 of the 6 shots fired so he was not that close. I wonder if Sharpton or the NBPP or maybe even the President will take responsibility for when someone is killed over this. There was also an incident in Gainesville where 7 young B/M's attacked an elderly W/M and beat him severely. This is being announced as not being race-related even though at least one of the attackers was heard to yell "Trayvon" when they attacked him.
Come on folks, let us not listen to all the hate speech that is coming from these antagonists and bigots, on both sides, and allow the Special State Attorney to do her job and find out what really happened that night and file the appropriate charges and do her job. Send these bigots and racists packing and ignore them. That includes apparently the media who is using this to gather viewers and readers! Only pay attention to the press releases from the Officials involved.
