Only reason he apologized is the fact he was loosing sponsors for his show. That equates to him loosing $$$.

Responding only to this: "What this woman does in the privacy of her home to potentially put her at risk for pregnancy or disease is a personal responsibility matter and should not be mandated". Ignoring the rest.

Pregnancy is covered, Viagra is covered. Every health decision is a personal responsibility matter--diet, exercise, sex, etcetera. I guess insurance shouldn't be obligated to cover any of it? Hogwash.

Mz this is where we will disagree. What this woman does in the privacy of her home to potentially put her at risk for pregnancy or disease is a personal responsibility matter and should not be mandated, certainly by the president of the United States, to be paid for at the behest of the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, or the citizens of this country. What she does in her bedroom is fine, she is after all a 30 year old feminist activist, but what is at the heart of the matter is this: this is outside of the realm of the Constitution of this great country. The Constitution provides for certain liberties and freedoms, not contraceptives. It certainly doesn't cover contraceptives being mandated at a private, Catholic school (Georgetown University, where she attended in this case) which goes beyond and against everything that religion stands for. In my opinion her integrity is quite lacking and her agenda for "women's rights issues" (read, feminism) is quite obvious. She is telling the democrat congresscritters who she was seated in front of that all private insurance companies should pay for contraception, YES EVEN RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS. That is wrong, pure and simple. The crux of the matter is this, the way you wish to live your life is YOUR decision. Do not push your beliefs on others who don't wish to have them imposed upon them. Asking the Catholic church to hand out "morning after pills" or anything else even close is akin to asking atheists to attend church, it ain't going to happen.

I re-read Gradyg's comments, I don't see a problem with them! He speaks the truth as he sees it and I see it too!
I have not walked in his shoes and do not know where his expierences have taught or brought him. However, I can say we have shopped in the same shoe store!

I honestly don't know where she or anyone else got this $3,000 figure--but it DOESN'T MATTER. If it costs this much, it isn't appropriate for you to question this woman's sexual habits. Regardless of what it costs, insurance should pay for it. If the pharmaceutical companies are gouging the insurance companies, then take it up with the pharmaceutical companies. It has nothing to do with what this young woman does in the privacy of her home.

Now--I'm not going to get into an ideological tit-for-tat on how it is or isn't a women's health issue (it obviously IS--and that is all I need to say about it), but the whole turning it around and questioning this lady's morals and/or integrity is really obnoxious...and does reveal more about the people who are attacking her than anything else.

I think I would be pretty angry if someone who didn"t know me, called me the names that Limbaugh used just because i disagreed with him or her.

He didn't say it was "the" reason--he said it was "a" reason. Those who claim race is not a factor at all are just as delusional as those who claim it is "the" reason.

I found this interesting. It is a tad bit off topic and contains strong language. So if you offend easily don't click the link.

I do wish him well and thank him for his service BUT his racial comments are getting old, he does not seem to have a valid point about obama and throws the race card around a lot. I served ten years active and six reserve and can not excuse such ignorant comments even from a military member. Being military, a cop, a fireman, a teacher or a bum on the street there is no excuse for making such broad comments.. I value his opinion and we do owe him for his service I just hate people claiming race is the reason for wanting obama out of office. I am sure there are some that feel that way but I do not and I am sure the professionals on this site do not. As a combat soldier, what did our fellow vets fight and die for over the past wars and conflicts? communism and socialism has no place here.

I have no hard feelings toward gradyg and as I said earlier, I value and respect his opinion I am just speaking my mind and hopefully, although I am sure he disagrees with my opinions, he respects my stance on the issue also.

I have to come to Gradyg's defense on this. I for one do feel I owe a lot to Gradyg as he is an active duty soldier who has been in combat and serving his county. This is a very honorable thing to do and as long as he is doing so we need to support him and his family with as much as we can afford. If he retires from the Army then he deserves a nice pension that he can live off of and free medical care as promised when he enlisted.m I also do not believe that Grady is in any way a 'racist' or even a 'bigot'. Gradyg does seem to have some issues about race and he may well have reasons for that as there are still pockets of bigotry as far as personal actions even if there is equality in business and the workplace. What I hope Gradyg realizes, and deep down I believe he does, is that most people really do not care what race you are any more than what your hair color is or even if you have hair.

I am so glad the troll is gone but he keeps popping up under different names and i am sure he will be back. I am glad to see the support for one of our own on thiis site and even yhose with differing views came together in support of Robo, gives me a warm fuzzy!! I believe we can be adult and discuss differing views and still be able to have a cold one together at the end of the day, debate and differing views create ideas that can benefit everyone. If we all felt the same nothing would get done so I applaude everyone that takes part in HEALTHY discussions with differing points of view.

Rush stepped in it and that is to bad because the bigger subject is now being overshadowed by his comment instead of the intended content. That being said I have to comment on gradyg's comment that he believes the wealth should be spread. Last I checked we are a capitolist society where your future is up to you. There are times to lend a hand to those that are down and out but that is NOT the job of the government. If you produce a better product you get a better price and if you are to LAZY to produce a product you can just collect from the government and believe you are intitled to a piece of the pie someone else worked hard to bake. gradyg, The only one that I see that keeps making racial comments is you!! I believe you have your head in the sand and want to believe in something or someone based on their race. Here is an idea.....instead of supporting socialism expand on your future. I wish you all the success in the world and hope you make millions. Once you are wealthy and worked VERY hard and sacrificed with NO help to get there I want to see if you feel it is fair that you busted your A-- and the government takes away from you to give to lazy leeches. You want to make donatione.....great, I do! that is your right and I believe helping causes that tyou support is great but to lose that choice and have the government come in ant take your money because you have to much? I accept the fact I made my choices and will never be rich......I am happy! I have never taken a penny I did not earn and I struggle at times with bills. I have chosen a life of service because money is nice but my calling is more important to me. I do not look down on people becayuse they have a huge paycheck that they EARN, I do not care how much money others have or make, I am happy for them that they wanted to be wealthy and acheived their goal by hard work and sacrifice. If you redistribute the wealth it will not solve anything because tthe more money people have the more they spend and the more prices go up. Bottom line, I work very hard for what I have and live pretty good because I budgeted. I do not need someones elses money, my pride for one would not allow it, I am rich beyond what any dollar amount can bring. I provide a service to my community, I put a roof over my families head ( that I saved to buy and did not buy beyond my means to pay), I provide food for my family to eat and donate what I can to help less fortunate people in my community (to assist not support), but most of all......I have a loving family and true friends and a place to lay my head THAT I PAID FOR. I sleep very well knowing I earned EVERYTHING I HAVE.

Charity is for the family, community and the churches, not the government. These groups can put pressure on people to make themselves better but what can the government do? just keep writing checks and keep enabling people to be lazy and feel entitled.

I agree with Robo, what does any of this have to do with race except for gradyg's comments. IMHO, gradyg and others like him are the ones keeping racial issues alive, I could care less about a persons race, religion or gender if they are qualified for the position and take us in a positive direction. Do you remember Colin Powell? I would have voted for him with no questions, he was a PROVEN leader that was able to make tough decisions. I could care less who he slept with, his skin color or his religion, we need a leader.....not a symbol!!
