Absolutely heartbreaking! Probably from some undetected heart problem. The great shame is that because this happened while Off-duty it will not be considered a LODD and he will not get Federal Money or Workman's Compensation which leaves her nothing! This young wife and mother of two beautiful little girls is going to have a hard time of it without any income or compensation. Her only hope is that they decide that he was exercising or 'training' to obtain his new position as a K-9 Officer. I really hope that they can fly with that. If not then it is going to be up to just us LEOs who still believe in the Brotherhood, to make sure she can get by.
