That's sweet, AJ's Daddy, but "supporter" does not mean I agree with your narrow world view. "Common Sense" to you is soggy with politics, ironically. If you were really using common sense you'd realize that LEOs are not all of the same opinion as you either.
Sad when politics overwhelms common sense. I guess when a problem doesn't affect you it must not exist. It exists for a good many of us on this site who strap up every night. Keep on "supporting" there supporters, we see where your real loyalties lie.
Well then, both"funnin "and responding with grace are good things.Fortunately my state is not broke yet.The majority of we aliens coming accross the Missouri border are we Nebraskans and Arkansans.
P.S. the quotes around "funnin'" are not intended to attribute it to you or anyone--the quotes are there to denote a word that is not really a word. ;)
The only reason I looked back was to confirm my absolute conviction that I was right--or to eat crow if I turned out to be wrong. This is proof that you do not know me at all. If anyone is going to call me out on making an error, it will be me. Your life experience is one variety, mine is another; although I suppose our life experiences supposedly converge on the idea that fact-checking is also paramount.
It is very late, though...and I have an early job interview in the morning. I do have an appreciation for humor if I can recognize it. I can appreciate that this is how you unwind, but as long as you blur the lines between serious discussion and "funnin'", I can't always guarantee I will respond with grace.
LOL, (hat tip) I knew you would go back and find something. It was a mistake... thanks for pointing that out!!
(hard swallow, pull at collar) you are right, I stand corrected!!
but see, you have to admit......come on admit it.......being silly can bring a smile to your face and relieve stress, thus releasing pressure on the heart and the end result will hopefully be a longer healthy life......a few more years for us to jab at each other..........you don't have to admit it but I know that made you smile!! be safe and good night!!
This is rather silly--but you should look down at your first comment, sir.
"Obummer and his admin will not do anythig to help, they are to busy joining Mexico in a lawsuit against Arizona."
Yes--you apparently made a mistake. You also made another one saying I misquoted you.
to get back on point with the artical, how are we (speaking for me and a group of friends that feel the same) supposed to respect "our leader" if he will not even acknowledge a request for help from one of the states he was elected to defend and protect? He will not even show enough respect for a public official asking for help! Even if he just said, Texas use the resources you have availible and we will see about providing assistance if possible. Even just say, no.......something....anything!! But to not even acknowledge, that says he has noo respect for the state, the needs of the people or me as an individual. He needs a reality check, he works for us, not us for him!!
a few CAPS and you prove my point, thank you. You think I am bad now, wait till I retire and can really say what is on my mind. Using a few colorful words allows me some pleasure, that is all. But juvenile? yep, guess you are right, one of the few pleasures I allow myself during my less stressful times. So judging me and my comments with your better than thou attitude that can so easily dismiss me, I feel bad for you, really. Oh, one other thing, if you feel the need to quote me, please do so correctly. You will never see me refer to our President in any spelling I use to reference him (other than President) with the first letter being a capitol (unless I make a mistake). The position of President commands respect for the office held but the man deserves no respect as far as I can see so no caps in any of the juvenile names or actual proper spelling. You must be a media type because if I use quotation marks I make sure it is exactly what was said or printed, only the media can get away with using quotes without being accurate and still be called professional!!
Sorry--I just can't take ANYBODY seriously who engages in the kind of juvenile name games that results in "Obummer" or anything similar--including those applied to political figures I don't agree with. If that's okay with you, carry on--but don't expect me to consider your statements with any weight whatsoever. You engage in silliness like that and many people--of course ALL of whom you can DISMISS as irrelevant--will simply tune the rest of your thoughts out.
Right--you can dismiss me easily because my life experience differs significantly from yours. That must be comforting to you. I'll tell you what: it's fine for me, too.
By the way--I wasn't really offended. It was mock indignation. I am not one to inject passion in my telling of FACTS-- SARCASM --) I leave that to the "real" Americans...the relevant ones...the ones whose life experience and opinions are exactly the same as yours. (-- Sarcasm.
I do enjoy a bit of sarcasm, though. It's a very bad habit--but one that I find very hard to break.
Don't have audio at work so I'm going to go by comments posted and the title of the article and say: This is just stupid!
He is OUR president, I respect the position but not the man!!! As a citizen of the United States of America I chose not to vote for obummer and will continue to use my FREEDOM OF SPEECH to address him as I see fit!! (although I am sure I will lose sleep tonight knowing I have upset you with my non-politically correct comment) Face to face I would call him Mr President but if asked I would express my displeasure in his having the position he has. I have to respect the position, NOT the person!! I guess you are not only not LE but you were also never in the military either!!
I do not know if Texas is "baiting the executive branch", but that is what I would do. We all have seen what happens when a state exercises it's power to act. As far as "joined Mexico" does not have to mean obummer signed on that particular suit but can mean he is involved in a seperate suit. joined can be a seperate similar act to arrive at the same or different goal.......IE: I joined the group that was walking in the same direction, does not mean we are walking for the same purpose, they could be walking in demonstration. I do not have to share their views but I was walking to the gun shop on the corner across from where they were going and figured why walk alone? words are fun and the mind is often narrow when a person wants to find only what they want to see. The great thing about being a cop, I have to look at the big picture from many different views, I do not have the luxury of being narrow minded. You use words to sway people, I use words to express myself (here on this site). I write facts in my reports, no matter how much I may not personally agree with something I write ALL THE FACTS. That is why this is a great release for me, here I can write how I feel, a luxary I do not have at work. I can not write to sway a persons feelings like the news can. I can not leave anything out, even if it makes me look bad or cause me to lose a case, I must put everything there to allow others to make a decision based on ALL THE FACTS. You have the luxary to leave things out that will not support your view.
I am strong in my views and do not have to quote articals and reference different writings from liberal news sources to justify my points and views........I HAVE LIVED IT........I HAVE FOUGHT FOR IT.........I HAVE SEEN IT FIRST HAND..........AND I CONTINUE TO LIVE AND PUT MY LIFE ON THE LINE FOR ALL NO MATTER THEIR VIEWS BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO FEEL THE WAY THEY DO TO INCLUDE YOU mz66. I make my personal judgements and decisions on my feelings and beliefs based on life experience (and I have the scars to prove it, emotional as well as physical).......not what someone with no life experience wrote!! I refuse to be PC and if my comments on obummer (aslo known as o idiot in my vocabulary) and the worst lady offend you, feel FREE not to read my comments.
I am an AMERICAN and I will be DAMNED if I give a flip that what I write offends you. You will not stop me from practicing my freedoms!!!
and yes I know what socialist and elitist means.................do you? because if you do know what they mean you should be as scared as I am with how those words apply to our current administration.........and it scares the H E double hockey sticks out of me!!! mostly for the future of my daughter and this great nation.
Texas Governor is the only one to blame for their border problems, like I said all he have to do is declare the borders a state of emergency, go through the right channels and there you have it national guard troops camping out at the borders. Until the Governors of states that borders Mexico declare that a state of emergency exist, no help will be forth coming from the federal government. Those same politicians who are crying about their border problems are the same ones who are saving money by hiring illigals to work on their land and at companies that they have a stake in.
Let's take this one claim at a time, shall we? The states have legal, constitutional options--they should use them instead of deliberately baiting the executive branch to file lawsuits against unconstitutional policy (see comments below). The US and Mexico lawsuits are two lawsuits--separate and distinct. Nobody in Washington "joined Mexico" in a lawsuit. Do you even know what the word "socialist" means? Because the way some people throw it around, it doesn't seem like it. "Elitist"--is this Santorum's definition? In other words, "educated"? The "feds" certainly want to secure the border, but not by sacrificing our principles.
LASTLY--I don't know who "Obummer" is, but President Obama, Mr. President, the Commander-in-Chief--those are all acceptable ways to refer to YOUR PRESIDENT. THAT IS ALL!
