Broward Sheriff's deputy arrested over road rage incident | Video

I am not sure what to think at this time. I do hope for a follow up story.

Does not look good. We will have to wait and see where this goes. This happened in May and they waited until now to charge him. Sounds like they didn't just jump as soon as it was reported and that they did their investigation before any criminal charges were made.

I watched the video and the only thing it shows is the Deputy demanding that she give him the phone. Officers do not allow people they pull over to use the phone as people have in the past called others to come to their aid to interfere with the Officer doing his duty. Other than that we only have the word of the alleged 'victim. It does seem out of character for this Deputy. The charge of illegal arrest is silly as just because you turn on your blue and red lights you are not placing anyone under arrest.
i can also imagine that what really happened is that this deputy was sitting at a red light and this subject pulled up beside him and flipped him the bird. The Deputy then pulled her over to find out why, (this is where he should have let it all roll off his back) and the people in the vehicle baited him. After they got what they could on video and he left they broke the cellphone and dumped it out the window and concocted the entire story.
Now that is just a possible scenario and if there is more on the video that could prove that that did not happen and back up her story. I don't know as it was not shown on the short tape.
Again, this entire incident could have been a non-event if he had ignored her flipping him off or he had called for a back-up or had activated HIS video. We shall see if there is an update. If not then it probably did not happen. If it IS true then there will be a lot of publicity about this.
