Huge Bump copper380! This is very much along the lines of how I believe.
Remember if you non-believers are right and I am wrong it does not matter as I will be truly dead and gone into nothingness BUT, for my life here I will be happy believing in the good of the afterlife.
On the other hand, if i am right and you are wrong, your life here on earth will not have the joy that mine does and you will forever be in fear of death AND when you end up standing before God, trust me, you will not be a happy person and if I am right not only will my time on eath be happier and with less stress, but I will be blessed and very happy in the afterlife!
So now which way is better?

I believe the Bible is flawed, it was written by the hand of man, who is flawed, we are not perfect beings. God made us this way and gave us the freedom of free will which I believe will be the reason for the loss of so many souls. My faith is not flawed, my faith is true and the only flaw I can find in faith is the lack of faith. Believe what you will and I will also believe what I will. I will continue to see the beauty of the Lord all around me, especially when I look into my daughters eyes. If you choose not to believe how can you see beauty and what do you see in a childs eyes? If you truly see nothing looking back at you and deny the MIRACLE of life then I believe you are lying to yourself. God has given us questions that we can not answer and that is where faith comes in, if your free will takes you away from God then you will be fulfilled at your time of death because there will be nothing more for you. I believe and will be lifted away from here by God's hand and I too will be fulfilled because I will live on. I truly believe God fearing people and atheists are both correct and the afterlife is your choice as allowed by God. I chose for my soul to live, if your dark life wishes to end at death then it will and your soul will die with your body. If you choose not to believe, although I may see you again in this life, unless you change your view and stop denying what you feel deep inside of you, I have a feeling I will not see you in the next!!

A religious women upon waking up each morning would open her front door stand on the porch and scream, “Praise the lord.” This infuriated her atheist neighbor who would always make sure to counter back, “there is no Lord.” One morning the atheist neighbor overheard his neighbor praying for food, thinking it would be funny, he went and bought her all sorts of groceries and left them on her porch. The next morning the lady screamed, “praise the Lord, who gave me this food.” The neighbor laughing so hard he could barely get the words out screamed “it wasn’t the Lord, it was me.” The lady without missing a beat screamed “praise the Lord for not only giving me food but making the atheist pay for it!!” :)

That's right if you do not believe in GOD how can you say GOD doesn't exist and on top of that this country was built on GODLY principals where else do they think our laws was derive from and if they follow the laws then they should know GOD exist if not why are they following the laws.

Whatever floats their boat. Boy will they be surprised is all I have to say. I know the Bible is not exact and has flaws and also many omissions but understand that it was written around 800 yrs ago about events that took place two thousand years ago, and written by men who either added or took away items and events at their pleasure. Still, it is a historical record of Christianity and has been proven to be correct in many, many places. I know I believe in the Supreme Being , also known as God and various other names. It works for me..

You have to entertain the idea that there is a God before you can say there isn't. Someday we will all find out who is right and who is wrong.
