Jonas, Child predators are targeted in prison because of a sense of moral outrage on the part of the other inmates. Child molesters are commonly "easy targets" in that they aren't very good at defending themselves. A child predator could "accidentally" soak himself in gasoline (or some other flammable fluid) and "accidentally" catch on fire. Prison can be a complicated and dangerous place for the professor!
