candor,nc fires 4 out of 5 police officers

So,let's see if I understand this correctly.You have a one gas pump city ,possibly one bar and one church ,as well.You have 5 members on the city board plus three other city officials.Ergo you have eight bosses and five police officers.NOW we have eight leaders and one Police Officer.One need not be a rocket scientist to see that we are a tad top heavy.Why don't these utter morons in this town grow some guts ,fire seven of the eight city officials in this city and swear in eight Police Officers.This would be a nationwide test case.I would imagine lots of news coverage would bring in a top notch attorney "Pro Bono".If I were the officers involved I would do exactly that post haste..

You don't have to tell them why they were fired? Are you kidding me? They damn well DO have to tell them or be prepared to fork over some serious money! These two spoiled jerks who lost it when a LEO gives them a 'warning'? God help them if they had actually written them a ticket! Then to attack the officers because they did not agree with them or did not act in the manner that they thought they should? Apparently these two idiots were convicted as they are appealing? Can't very well do that unless they were found guilty can they? How can the Mayor every break a tie when they have five members voting? They need to have a recall election. Can the Mayor do that? I would also think that in any pending compensation for the lawsuit that these two commissioners would have to recluse themselves because of campaign contribution issues. $6000 in contributions is a pretty cheap payout when they stand to make hundreds of thousands in lawsuit money. Someone needs to drop a dime to the State Attorney's Office and have this investigated. Good luck to the town and especially to the Officers who had Santa blow out of the sky on them!

I sure hope the Chief and the other Officers fired have some way of fighting this. It would be nice if they can get the eveidence together to sue who ever is responsible

I had to laugh when the commissioner did not have the nads for an interview and left out the back door. I would be curious if this state has a right to work law. I sincerely wish the officers well. Poliitics at its worst.

only thing i got to say is there going to regret irt when there the victim of a crime or there family is the victim of a crime there going to wish they still had those 4 police officers
