Sounds like Bilko did his job as trained. The POS should not have run away in the first place. These kinds of settlements set a bad precedent, as others will try to capitalize on them in the futre; I know, I'm preaching to the choir !!!

I don't see why they paid out anything...Seems to me Bilko was doing what he was supposed to, bringing down a fleeing fugitive.

This is one reason the K9 unit was disbanded. Run from the police, you will get bitten, especially after being warned the dog will be released. If he was that injured, it is obvious he did not submit to the dog or arrest willingly. What a POS! This makes me sick paying this J.O.!!!!!
