Here Comes The Bride...In Handcuffs

JACKSON, MI – A Michigan bride’s wedding celebrations came to an unexpected halt on Saturday, when she was arrested on a felony warrant after walking down the aisle.
Tammy Lee Hinton, who had just exchanged vows at a Jackson-area church, declined to change clothes before posing for her booking photo.
The blushing 53-year-old bride was wanted on a three-year-old warrant for identity theft; it is believed she attended the wedding reception after a brief jail stint.
Blackman-Leoni Township Public Safety Officer Rick Gillespie said on Monday police believed the woman had moved to Florida, but they got tips that she would be back in town for the wedding.
She was allowed to pose for last minute photographs before she was arrested at City of Zion Ministries at approximately 1pm – just after the ceremony.
Officer Gillespie said officers discussed whether to arrest the woman on her wedding day, but felt like they were out of options.
He told MLive.com: ‘We can’t ignore it when we have good information on where she’s going to be. We had to do what we had to do.’
Officers gave her the chance to change clothes before she was taken to jail, but she declined, Gillespie said.
‘She was kind of shocked at first because according to her, she had no idea what this was about,’ he added.
Hinton was held for less than 30 minutes before being picked up by her husband, whose name has not yet been released.
She was later freed on bond.
Gillespie said: ‘She was not in jail for more than 15 minutes, maybe a half hour. She was able to bond right out.’
It is presumed the couple continued to the reception.
Police could not offer more detail on the case, which is still pending.

Her own wedding guests or someone who knew of this event, turned her in... That's too funny! Who calls 5-0 on their family members wedding day and turns them in on a warrant!?! That is so priceless! LoL!

This is a great start to a marriage. "Honey, don't be mad but three years ago......". Nice bed time story on the honeymoon. Justice is served wherever it's served. Good job guys.

Could have been worse. She could have been arrested during her honeymoon, not the wedding. Wouldn't have been a pretty sight, I'm betting.
