NFL's Pacman Jones Arrested...Again

Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested Sunday in Cincinnati on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest, adding to a list of off-the-field troubles that have hindered his career.

Jones, 27, was jailed around 3 a.m. and released later in the morning. Media outlets reported documents filed in court accuse Jones of being disorderly and shouting profanities in a downtown bar and trying to pull away as officers arrested him.

Jones denied the allegations in an interview with WCPO-TV after leaving jail.

“I just had surgery, so why would I be resisting arrest?” said Jones, who is recovering from an injury suffered last fall and was wearing a neck brace.

He said he hadn’t been drinking and was out with his wife to celebrate her birthday.

“It’s ridiculous, man,” Jones said of the arrest. “I keep on going through the same thing, and it don’t make no sense.”

Jones repeatedly has had troubles away from football, including at least six other arrests and a dozen instances that involved police intervention.

He was suspended for the 2007 season with Tennessee, then signed with Dallas, where he was suspended for six games for an alcohol-related scuffle. He sat out for a season before signing a two-year deal with Cincinnati in May 2010.

Well if it "don't make no sense" then it makes sense right?

Just another public figure who believes his stuff doesn't stink and that his star status allows him to be a moron and get away with it.This has become the rule rather than the exception recently. He would fit right in with the Hollyweird crowd.

Professional ball players should be held to a higher standard than the average Joe. When a LEO is arrested multiple times he loses his job and ability to obtain work. It should be the same for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, ETC. When players are allowed to act like this again and again, what is it telling our kids. Money and fame in our world is an excuse for bad behavior. We need to teach our kids otherwise, but can only do so if this type of incident does not happen.
