RIP Sgt. This scum will be found. People don't seem to realize when something like this happens it brings all LEO's closer together. The hunt is on and it will not stop until justice is served..

We've had similar situations here in Washington at least four times this year. Twice the officers weren't hurt. One officer was killed in his car, an allege Russian mob hit, although I don't think the final story is out and four in a coffee store after shift.
These types of things alone make me wonder why some states are banning the death penalty. Do we really as citizens want to pay more than the average person makes to keep someone locked up in prison who has no redeeming qualities. It's not like these people can ever be released back to the streets (IMHO). I would rather see that money spend on social programs or educational programs. Maybe when enough people feel the same as I do, we can force a change in laws. Send more murders to the funeral home and more kids to college.
