Obama too busy golfing to pay his respects to fallen officers

@Hbryant...20....no disrespect to you, but you haven't been alive long enough to become disillusioned with our country's leaders. Some are good...some are bad....just as it is with the public we serve. You vote, then you contact the ones you voted for...tell them what you think. That's how it works. By the way, are you LEO?

Remember that BHO was raised by the wolves (communists, socialists and hardcore radicals) those groups inherently have hated cops and have even hunted and killed cops just to make social statements. BHO has displayed a PATTERN of disrespect for our beloved profession/community that shouldn't surprise us anymore. Remember the port-a-potty placed over a fallen officer's memorial during his 08 campaign? Good, I didn't forget that either. Remember all this in November 2012.

I have to say that I am a LEO. I have 11 years of service. I think that when JKF signed into law the Police Officer's Memorial Day and Police Week, back in 1962, it was done so that we, as a Nation, could offer our thoughts and prayers and support to the families and departments who have suffered the loss of an officer in the line of duty. JMHO....

In regards to POTUS not showing up to Police Week, it does not surprise me in the least because he has never opened his arms for LE since before his election into this office. My opinion... he is our Commander and Chief, he should be there on National Holidays that are set for the men and women who have given their lives to the service to this country, whether military or LE. He doesn't have to like it, but he should be there to show is respect. I am not asking him to sacrifice more than the men and women he would be honoring. Kinda like, I don't have to like him but I respect his Office.

I do respect the brothers and sisters we have lost on a daily basis. I do this by serving everyday and in other ways. On Sunday, I stopped and said a prayer for those that were being honored in DC. I wore a mourning band over my badge, I told people what I was honoring. I think the POTUS could have gone the 2 blocks from his home and made an appearance at the memorial, to me it would have been the American thing to do. Again, just my humble opinion.
