I am very supportive of President Obama's economic positions and I commend him for passing the health care plan--unlike most people on this website, I'm sure. I am not fond of the Rebublican party.
But I am VERY disappointed in him here, to the point of being angry. I know everybody needs some time to relax and unwind, including the President, but he could have gone on and played golf later and I don't think anybody would begrudge him that. He will DEFINITLY receive a letter from me and it WON'T be complimentary.
Mr. President, you lost me on this one!!
TPD327, I've been to about 10 of these services, and they are absolutely unequaled interms of both emotion and dignity. President Clinton made it a point to attend the Candlelight Vigil the first year after he was elected and he gave an awesome speech. I agree, this President has no excuse here. He should have attended and experienced first hand what we all go through. I am VERY disappointed in him!!
Maybe busy with rapper guy too? Sure he doesn' t mind the personal protection he gets from those in uniform.
Bump>Disturbing he doesn't show appreciation.
For those of you that do not know what traditionally happens. On May 15th the annual National Peace Officers Memorial Services are held on the west front of the U.S. Capitol. The surviving family members are escorted from the hotel to the capitol by several hundred motor officers. My son and I had the privledge of working this event in 2007 when we rode our motors from the Chicago area. President Bush attended this ceremony 7 out of his 8 years in office. The one year he missed he was out of the country. I attended 3 times in the last 10 years. The President not only spoke, but took the time to spend a moment with each officer's family members as the officers name was called. This process took several hours. I guess no longer honoring this tradition is part of the "change" we were promised.
First, the article is from the Washington Times, which will never pass up an opportunity to slam Obama.
Second, earlier in the week Obam held a Rose Garden ceremony honoring police officers: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/obama-praises-heroism-courage-of-police-award-winners-thanks-them-for-keeping-us-safe/2011/05/12/AFP8Ky0G_story.html
FYI, Obama diddnt kill Osama. He just signed ok on everyone elses preporations. I give all my thanks and respect to those true americans who sacrificed and worked to make that possible.
Its the people who make the country. Remember that.
Deebe, Obama is the most disrespectful uncareing anti-everything selfish socalist and most questionable president weve ever had. His skin color doesnt matter, thats a shield thats been over used. Our President is black so what he was voted in by white people. That means racisum is dead and done and loses all its power. Its time reverse racisum is identifyed as a truth fact and a weight upon society. You need to see its the words, actions, friends and associates, impulsive lack of forthought, policy, and precieved outright disrespect that people dont appreciate. Its the man, not the skin color.
