What trash! I know it's a long drive from his front door to the memorial! And to think I walked to it from the capital and WH! Slap in the face to LEO's and a big shi# on the face to the Secret Service. Just like the trash who hate us until they need us!

"And this surprises who? A president that hold all uniformed individuals in contempt, the military and law enforcement ws not going to give up some fund raising event to make an appearence where fallen heros are honored. And truthfully I am kind of glad he did NOT add his presence to the events and therefore tainting the memory of the day. Let him continue to socialize and elevate to prominence those who expouse the death and assualt on officers and preach hate discontent to the iuninformed masses. His day will come and he will one day wonder why he is alone."

Great post ChiefDC501! I wouldn't want that clown there either!

Very sad, but the country voted for change and now they have it. We only have each other, hold the line, the blue line. And never forget who your brothers and sisters are. For when the time comes and you need help, the only people you can count on are each other.

Let's face it, in the last decade, neither major party has been in it for the voters. In all level of government, we as police officers and/or we as Americans have been sold out to better the future of the politician, not the future of this great country. Treat your politicians as you would a suspicious subject in an area he shouldn't be in on third shift: with wary readiness. With every slap we collectively take from one of these people, it seems the majority of the posts will end up making it a party issue.

Rather than wasting time spouting off whatever the political spin of the day is, deal with what matters. Remember who slams you personally in the ballot booth. If one's only method of 'getting involved' is to add to the endless list of name calling in the anonymous forum that the internet is, you'd be more useful peeing on a tree in a forest fire. The only satisfaction resulting there is you get to smell the steam as the flames engulf you.

United as police officers, firefighters, teachers, and nurses are fighting the attacks on public workers in Ohio. We are collecting a massive amount of signatures to get the bill, called, Ohio Senate Bill 5, placed on a ballot to be voted on by the public. Also, every senator and house member who voted to pass this bill has been identified and sent out to all members. Because of this effort, we will win in stopping SB 5, then on voting day we will take on the individuals who tried to sell us down the river.

This President has never and will never get my vote, but then again, neither did nor will my state (OH) governor and many members of the current state congress. Whatever your position, get involved.

Maybe his father didnt teach him about respect when he was growing up, where ever that was. Our country is at a low for sure with this guy in office.

Very Well said LAWMANTUKES.. However brother, I believe it will get worse instead of better. Not trying to be negative, but America is made up of this new generation that cares nothing for it's elders nor does it display any respect for the needs of others and the law. Need I add unthankfullness. Totally different group compared to our outstanding WWII vets/citizens. However, we being a select few can try and shed some light in this dark dark world. I can't stand obama with a passion and hope and pray we get a better President during the next election; can it get worse, don't jinx it.. lol. God bless all you in blue and to our military..

You know that it is simply amazing to see those that voted for this President to start to cry racisim, everytime that he is criticised for screwing-up. I am from what one would refer to as the "Baby Boom" generation. And as I grew-up, my dad who was a WWII combat vet with the US Army, would be so patriotic in his willingness to support our society in every way that he could. And that was done both as a Police Officer, as well as our Block Club President. And eachtime that the Block Club met at our house, my dad always led the meeting off with the "Pledge of Allegiance". We would always do that and of course in school before class started. I am sharing this to remind the younger generation on here, that people like my dad who was a part of the "Greatest Generation", fought hard against our enemies both forign and domestic to protect and preserve our constituion and all that it stands for.

And every President's Adnministration has managed to atleast acknowledge those fine and honorable traditions, until now. Never before in the history of our Nation, have there been such a failure to respect the honorable and loyal traditions that were so highly respected and practiced by those who so bravely fought and died for our freedoms, and the right to be called an "American". So all of you on this site that feel an urge to say that we are racisist just because the POTUS happens to be black, should really stop and think to look at the real issues that has so many of us up-set. For in our line of work, there is niether Black, White, Asian or Hispanic. We are BLUE...!!! Some different shades but still BLUE in our united effort to serve and protect.

MAY GOD CONTINUE BLESS THESE UNITED STATES.
