Fabled SEAL Team 6 Ends Hunt for bin Laden

WASHINGTON—Navy SEALs are being told to keep the details to themselves after the military special operations group killed Osama bin Laden in an overnight raid in Pakistan early Monday.
The Navy officer in charge of the elite unit told his troops Monday that they should be proud but keep quiet about it. In an email message obtained by The Associated Press, Rear Adm. Ed Winters also says the fight is not over, and sharing too many details can endanger the next operation.
A unit of specially trained SEALS known as SEAL Team 6 stormed a secret compound in Pakistan overnight. The operation involved a small number of U.S. forces and lasted about 40 minutes.
U.S. officials say the SEALs left with bin Laden’s body and unspecified evidence gathered at the scene.

Salute is in order for the entire Seals team. A mission well done. Heres a question, why is the White House having trouble keeping the story straight? Makes me wonder what really went on over there, just another news article I read this eveing. I am proud ot the all the service personnal and civilians that took part in this mission.

I also give thave to give the Seals alot of credit on how they skillfully executed every last one of guards, and not so great messengers in under 40 minutes. Even amongst the Chaos and gunfire, the SEALS were still were able to spare the Woman and Children. The US Military has potential to have had Everyone gone in 60 seconds, but they showed the world that we are not as Barbaric as these terrorist. Just Maybe those children will realize how Tough their terroristic family members act, but seen a big contradiction there fortitude was tested, and the Crap hit the fan. Hope the Childreen seen these Cowards grabbing their own moms to be used as Human shields. In a perfect world, they would realize "The Great Satan" is not America, but unfortunately they are probably being told right now"Our God Spared our lives" ...Sighs.... I wish I could say, Wasn't your "God" who spared you hunny, It was the preciseness and good shot of the Navy Seals!

When I got certified to dive, my instructor was a friend of a friend....and a vietnam era SEAL. A very soft spoken, quiet man, with the patience of Job, he was an outstanding teacher and inspired confidence in all of his students. On our check dive in PCB FL., we had 8 students in 80+ feet of water, my instructor John, and another diver who was getting his instructor check dive. John was a fish! He was absolutely at ease and comfortable in the water, and his confidence spread throughout our class. Everyone did well and was certified. I NEVER heard him raise his voice....not once! I later learned that he was in some deep shit in Vietnam, but he never bragged or made a big deal out of it. You knew he wasn't your average bear when you shook his hand. He was not a big man, rather thin and wiry, but his grip was like a hydralic vise! He is one of the coolest guys I've ever met!
Thats the kind of guys these operators are; quiet, NOT cocky but supremely confident in themselves and their team mates, incredibly effective and gifted in their art, doggedly determined, mission-centric and absolutely effecient and ruthless in killing the enemy. Their double-taps are the second shot inside the first shot.....unless they WANT it a little off!
Thank GOD they are on our side!

I am happy the bastard is dead. I am extremely happy it was our Special Forces that took him down instead of one of his own people cashing in on the reward, that gives it a great depth of justice for the victims of this SOB.
To the operators of ST6/DEVGRU - Be proud. You have shown the whole world the depth of our resolve as a nation and that we will never back down from the cowards who hide behind terrorism. I know you will probably never be named, to keep you and your families safe from reprisals by the fanatics still loyal to this monster, but know that we at home love you for taking this POS down for good. We are all very proud of you, and will be forever remembered in the brotherhood of warriors as the very best of the best. God bless each and every one of you, may He keep you safe and give you the skills and courage to keep taking the fight to these scumbags for as long as it takes to destroy them forever.
