I too don't think that this "merits the assertion
that it is a black eye for L.E." but I know
one thing for sure, if this wasn't a cop
the comments posted thus far would
    not be as sympathetic.
    Two deputies were injured and
    two patrol vehicles were damaged.

This incident occurred outside the actor's law enforcement duties. It is a shame that this happened. However, I don't think it merits the assertion that it is a "black eye for L.E." Human beings have their "falling down" moments every day. Let's let this one play out and hope that this man and his family get the help (and justice) that they need.

Bump Dallas ! Obviously something serious is going on in his personal life. It's just a shame it had to spill over into his professional one as well.

Let this play out. Hopefully help is on the way for this troubled individual.
