San Antonio Officer Killed In Wrong-Way Wreck
Associated Press
March 15, 2011
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say an officer and a suspected drunken driver have been killed in a wrong-way accident on Interstate 35.
Police say 27-year-old Officer Stephanie Brown was in her patrol car and responding to a call early Tuesday when the head-on collision happened. Brown died at a San Antonio hospital.
The name of the man driving the SUV the wrong way on I-35, near downtown San Antonio, was not immediately released. Police say he was dead at the scene. The police report of the wreck says the SUV’s headlights were not on.
Brown had been on the force for three years.

God's grace and comfort to Officer Brown's family. As a father who lost a daughter to a drunk driver I feel their pain. I also feel pissed off that this crap will continue to go on. Sadly we have lost another innocent life to one who placed his choice to drink and drive upon Officer Brown who got not choice in the loss that followed. It is past time that the drunk driver be charged with murder and not intoxication manslaughter. They are killers just as sure as the ones who kill with knives and guns.

Rest in Peace Officer Brown. I had the pleasure of meeting you a couple times when I worked downtown.
The sadest part is that she wasn't supposed to working last night. She was covering for another officer.

RIP...Officer Brown...... its just so sad and senseless, such loss for the community; a bright light dimmed out before its time, my heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family.

As you departed the bonds of this earth and touched the face of God, know that the service and dedication you had for your department, its fellow officers and the citizens of your community will never be forgotten. May God comfort in this time of sorrow your family, your fellow officers and all those whose lives you have touched. RIP sister, we’ll take it from here.
